How do I sign in?

With Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or an email link — no password to remember. Use the same method each time so you land in the same account.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings → Delete account in the app. Trips only you belong to are deleted with their documents; trips you share stay with the group, and ownership passes to the longest-standing member. This cannot be undone. If you no longer have the app, email bjorn@organize.se from your sign-up address.

Trips and invites

An invite link doesn’t open the app

Make sure Vidare is installed first. Then either tap the link again, or copy the code at the end of the link and use Join with invite code in your trip list. Invite links work for 30 days unless the organiser revokes them earlier.

Who can see and edit what?

• Owner — created the trip; can do everything, including delete it.
• Admin — co-organiser: manages invites and members, sees the budget, can edit or delete anything in the trip.
• Member — plans and edits content; deletes only their own items; does not see the budget.
• Viewer — follows along, comments and votes; cannot edit the plan.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. The plan, map pins and every attached ticket for an upcoming or active trip are kept on your phone. Anything you change offline syncs to the group when you are back online.

What is a someday trip, and how do I turn it into a real one?

A someday trip has no dates yet — a place the group would love to go, where you collect ideas, links, videos and notes for free. It has no day-by-day plan, tickets, reminders, countdown or Included AI until it gets dates. The trip’s owner or an admin converts it with Start planning (on the trip’s home screen or in Trip settings): pick the dates and a template, and everything you collected comes along. That is also the moment the 7-day trial starts. Converting back is not possible.

How does pricing work?

Someday trips — trips without dates — are free for as long as you like. A planned trip is free for 7 days from the moment it gets dates. After that, one member — usually whoever created it — unlocks the trip for 49 kr (or the equivalent in your local App Store currency), which covers everyone in the trip for 365 days. There is no subscription. See pricing.

I paid, but the trip is still locked

Open Settings and tap Restore purchases. Unlocks are stored on your account, so reinstalling and signing in restores them automatically; purchases are verified with Apple, so a slow connection can delay the unlock by a minute or two. If it is still locked after that, email us with the trip name and the date of purchase.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds go through Apple as well: open reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID and choose the Vidare purchase. If Apple refunds it, the trip returns to its previous state.

AI assistant

The assistant says the trip’s AI allowance is used up

Each unlocked trip includes a generous allowance for the Included AI; trial trips get a smaller one, and someday trips have none until they get dates. When it runs out the app automatically switches to Apple Intelligence on supported iPhones, or to your own Anthropic or OpenAI key if you have added one in Settings. Unlocking a trip that is in trial restores the Included AI.

Do my AI chats sync to the cloud?

No. Conversations with the assistant are stored on your phone only and are private to you, even within a shared trip. Only the proposals you accept become part of the trip. There is no setting for this because there is no cloud copy to opt out of.

Diagnostics

Crash reports help us fix problems, but they are optional: switch Share crash reports & diagnostics off under Settings → Diagnostics at any time. The Report a problem button on the same screen sends a description together with the app’s recent log lines (you can leave the logs out) — it is the fastest way to get a bug fixed.

Requirements

Vidare runs on iPhone with iOS 18 or later. Apple Intelligence features need an iPhone that supports them and iOS 26. The app is available in 10 languages and follows your iPhone’s language setting.
